Family of Caleb Johnson (87) & Ann Downing

201. Caleb Johnson (Caleb5, Daniel4, Isaac3, Isaac2, John1). Born on 20 Nov 1745. Died Gouverneur, N.Y., on 17 Jan 1834.

He served two years in the Revolution; was at Burgoyne's surrender. Removed to Johnstown, N.Y., about 1800, where he lived until 1821. Then went to live with his son John at Gouverneur, where he and his wife died.

He first married Mary Harris, on 10 Oct 1768. Died abt 1785.

They had the following children:
i.  Roswell. Born on 2 Mar 1770.
ii.  Lucy. Born on 5 Dec 1771.

iii.  Zadock. Born on 11 May 1774. Died.

He second married Naomi Sutliff, daughter of John Sutliff & Lucy Hodgkin, in Aug 1785. Baptized on 9 Dec 1759. Died Gouverneur, N.Y., on 23 Jan 1857.

202. Anna Johnson (Caleb5, Daniel4, Isaac3, Isaac2, John1). Born on 14 Apr 1747. Died on 15 Jul 1824.

She married Nathaniel Brainerd, son of Samuel Brainerd & Esther Brainerd, on 10 Feb 1773. Born on 3 Jul 1742. Died on 17 Jan 1815.

They had the following children:
i.  Samuel. Born on 29 May 1774.
ii.  Esther. Born on 5 May 1775. Died Leydon, N.Y., on 6 Jan 1848.
iii.  Anna. Born in May 1777.
iv.  Lucy. Born on 17 Oct 1778. Died on 2 Aug 1852.
v.  Nathaniel. Born on 2 Oct 1780.
vi.  Roswell. Born on 10 Mar 1787.
