Eli's grave marker, difficult to read in 1986, gives his age at death as 71 years 10 months. Census of 1820 for Preble, Cortland Co., NY: 1 0 0 0 1 0 / 1 2 0 2 0. The 'other woman' in the household was Mary Atwood, sister of Sophronia (Mason) Morey.

Morey appears on the membership list dated April 25, 1837, of the Cortland County Anti-slavery Society.
