249. Persis MOREY (Isaac7, Moses6, Ephraim5, John4, George3, George2, George1). Born on 20 Feb 1817. Died on 19 Aug 1860.

FAMILY HISTORY, by Lillian Lucina (Welden) Grove (1913), in the possession of 2-great grandniece Sherry Arend (1997): Persis Morey married Harvey W. Heath. After his death, in 1847, she married William Powell. By the first marriage, there were five children born, of whom but one, Jerome H. Heath, grew to manhood. The remaining four, Mary, Albert, Newell and an infant, all died early. By the second marriage there were six children, namely, Emily, who married Mr. Marlett, and who died in the year 18__. Winfield, who lived but two years. William, who died in 1864. Lydia died in 1883. An infant died very young. Persis died Aug. 19, 1860, aged 43--5--29.

She first married Harvey W. HEATH. Died in 1847.

They had the following children:

FAMILY HISTORY, by Lillian Lucina (Welden) Grove (1913), in the possession of 2-great grandniece Sherry Arend (1997): Soviah Morey married Jacob Myers in the year 1849. She died in Oswego Co., NY in the year 1881, aged 61--5--17. She was survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. DeEtte Moyer, and one son, Newton Myers.

She married Jacob MYERS, on 28 Apr 1850.

FAMILY HISTORY, by Lillian Lucina (Welden) Grove (1913), in the possession of 2-great grandniece Sherry Arend (1997): Hannah Morey married Nathaniel Heath, whose death preceded her own by several years. She was the mother of Newton, Frank, Charles and Addie Heath. Hannah died in Illinois in the year 1871, aged 50 years. Her daughter Addie died a few years later, at the age of eighteen years. Charles died in Chico, California in Feb. 1911. At the present time (1913) Newton lives in Iowa, and Frank in Elgin, Illinois.

She married Nathaniel HEATH. Died bef 1871.

FAMILY HISTORY, by Lillian Lucina (Welden) Grove (1913), in the possession of 2-great grandniece Sherry Arend (1997): Polly Morey married Jerome Skinner, whose death occurred a few years before her own. She died near Sandy Creek, NY, 30 Oct. 1909, at the age of 86 years, and 7 months, 1 day. Having attained the greatest age of any of her father's family. She was survived by two sons, Newton and William Skinner and one daughter, Mrs. Angeline Newcomb.

She married Jerome SKINNER. Died abt 1905.

They had the following children:

253. Lucina MOREY (Isaac7, Moses6, Ephraim5, John4, George3, George2, George1). Born on 10 Apr 1825 in Oswego Co., NY. Died on 2 Oct 1911 in Sacramento, Sacramento Co., CA. Buried on 3 Oct 1911 in Quincy Cem., Plumas Co., CA.

FAMILY HISTORY, by Lillian Lucina (Welden) Grove (1913), in the possession of 2-great grandniece Sherry Arend (1997): Lucina Morey and Allen J. Welden were married in NY on 8 July 1845. They moved to California in 1852. Mr. Welden who was born 6 May 1816, died near Quincy, Calif. 2 Aug. 1885, at the age of 69 years, 2 months and 26 da. Mrs. Welden survived till 2 Oct. 1911, when she passed away in Sacramento, Calif. at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 22 days. Four children survived; John A. Welden, Mrs. Lillian Grove, Mrs. Carrie Johnson and Clarence G. Welden.

Residences: 1852 Quincy, Plumas Co., CA; 1904-1911 Sacramento, Sacramento Co., CA

She married Allen John WELDEN, son of Jacob WELDEN (abt 1784-1868) & Polly MURPHY (abt 1786-1870), on 8 Jul 1845 in Ellisburg, Jefferson Co., NY. Born on 6 May 1816 in Oswego Co., NY. Died on 2 Aug 1885 in Quincy, Plumas Co., CA. Buried in Quincy Cem., Plumas Co., CA. Occupation: Shipyard worker; miner; farmer. Personal: 1868 Designed and built hay press.

He was survived by his wife, who died in 1905, and by three daughters, Lucina, Mary, and Ida, and one son, Martin Morey. Mary, now Mrs. Stevens, lives in Montevideo Minn.

He married Ms. --. Died in 1905.

FAMILY HISTORY, by Lillian Lucina (Welden) Grove (1913), in the possession of 2-great grandniece Sherry Arend (1997): Israel Morey died in Fergus Falls Minn. 22 May 1895. He was survived by his wife, Mrs. N.D. Morey, and two sons, Anson and Charles. Their only daughter, Eva, died in Minnesota, about the year 1891. The survivors now reside in San Jose, Calif.

He married N. D.. Died aft May 1895.

They had the following children:
