Great Great Great Grandparents

The term Family History is preferred over Genealogy since much documentation is omitted and family source information is admitted (read the Fine Print for additional comments). Most lines are from the South. My New England gateway is through the MOREY and ANDREW lines of my maternal grandmother. Since both my mother and my paternal grandmother bore the FREEMAN surname, that name has been used to provide structure to the presentation.

You will find mostly basic text, links, a navigation map, and photos for recent generations (back to 1865) at this site. There are files of source documentation, including census records, grave markers, wills, Revolution and Civil War pension files, and some additional public and private records.

To return to this site, please bookmark this Welcome page or the KINNEXIONS page only. All others are subject to name changes and/or relocation.

Thanks to LeisterPro for developing a great genealogy program - Reunion

Many sources have been used over the past 45 years for the information included here -- too many to list in detail. However, two journals always seem to have some information on my LAWSON kin and my maternal FREEMAN kin:

  • The Wayne County Historian of  The Wayne County Historical Society   P. O. Box 866, Waynesboro, TN 38485-0866
  • Bulletin of  The Genealogical Society of Old Tryon County   P. O. Box 938, Forest City, NC 28043-0938
