John TIDD - b. about 1589, Hertford, Hertfordshire, England; d. Apr. 24, 1656, Middlesex Co., MA. His death date is from The New England Ancestry of Dana Converse Backus, by Mary E. M. Backus (1949). His will was dated Apr. 9, 1656 and was proved Nov. 10, 1656 in Middlesex Co., MA. The will names wife Alice, son John, daughters Elizabeth FULLER and Mary KENDALL, and seven grandchildren. Moved to Woburn and signed Town Orders Dec. 18, 1640. Married first 1614 in England; and second Alice. The date and place of the marriage of John and Alice has been found as Jun. 11, 1657, Charlestown, MA . However, it will be noted that this date is over a year after the death of John TIDD of Woburn, MA.

Margaret GREENLEAF - b. about 1595, England; d. 1651, Woburn, Middlesex Co., MA. documentation of her surname has not been seen. It may be that the surname is due to another John TEED, who also arrived in American in 1637 as a 19 year old servant for Samuel GREENFIELD. This John TEED was at Salem and Ipswich, MA and removed to Exeter, NH, where he signed a petition in 1643, together with Samuel GREENFIELD.

Sarah was married second by 1654 to John SOUTHWICK. Daughter of Samuel and Sarah TIDD: Elizabeth married James GILES.
2. Hannah - d. Aug. 14, 1650. Married William SAVELL on Sep. 21, 1641. Four children. Probably the William SAVILL of Braintree 1640, who had sons John; Samuel; Benjamin; and William.
3. Elizabeth - Elizabeth - b. Sep. 19, 1626, Charlestown, Yarmouth, England; d. Jun 1649, Salem, Essex Co., MA. Married Jun. 13, 1643, at Woburn, Middlesex Co., MA, Thomas FULLER (b. Jan. 20, 1619, Rendenhall, Norfolk, England; d. Jun. 16, 1698, Salem, Essex Co., MA), son of Ralph FULLER and Elizabeth ELLIOTT. Embarked from England with father in 1637 for Charlestown and Woburn, MA, and moved to Cambridge Farms (Lexington), MA in 1686. Proprietor, subscriber for meetinghouse, taxpayer, and assessor 1693. Will dated Aug. 7, 1701, and proved May 31, 1703. Married Apr. 14, 1650, probably at Woburn, MA.

Jan. 23, 1694) was mother of one child who died in infancy. Second marriage - Mary (b. about 1685, d. Jan. 9, 1716/7) was mother of: a child who died in infancy; Joseph married Dorothy STICKNEY; Samuel; Sarah married John BRIDGE; Betty married Gerhom FLAGG; and Mary married David CUTLER. Third marriage - Mary (b. 1670; d. Jan. 5, 1730) had no children by Joseph.
7. Rebecca - b. Lexington, MA; d. Mar. 8, 1750. Married Nov. 11, 1685, Woburn, MA Thomas BLODGETT (b. Feb. 26, 1661, Woburn, MA; d. Sep. 29, 1740, Lexington, MA), the son of Samuel and Ruth (IGGLEDEN) BLODGETT. Thomas was a subscriber to the meeting-house at Lexington in 1692, was taxed there in 1694, and settled on Adams Street. He and Rebecca were admitted to the Lexington church Mar. 5, 1699, by letter from Woburn. Thomas served the town as tythingman, assessor, selectman, and representative. His will was written Oct. 26, 1738, and proved Nov. 24, 1740. Children of Rebecca and Thomas BLODGETT (first six born at Woburn; youngest two baptised at Lexington): Thomas married Mary; a child died in infancy; Rebecca married John RUSSELL; a child died in infancy; Ruth; Joseph married first Sarah STONE, married second Sarah INGERSOLL; Abigail married Peter REED; and Samuel married Mary RUSSELL.
8. Daniel - b. about 1668, Lexington, MA; d. Nov. 29, 1696, Lexington, MA. Married Dec. 21, 1694 Lydia CARLY (b. about 1672; d. Aug. 14, 1727), daughter of William and Jane. Children of Daniel and Lydia TIDD: Daniel married Hephzibah REED; and Mary.
